Betty and her pals are out exploring the wilds of a jungle when some of the locals take them hostage, and decide to make a tasty meal out of Betty. Music in this cartoon is from Louis Armstrong and his band. Louis menaces Betty’s friends who managed to escape, but can’t get rid of the giant head following them through the jungle. This film was created far before political correctness, as some unflattering stereotypical caricatures of the band appear later in the cartoon. The nasty natives die in a hail of molten magma, and the white invaders go back to their cozy homes. The End.

A sentry notices that the legendary, and super-scary ‘old man of the mountain’ has been sighted, and proceeds to help evacuate the nearby town. Betty decides to see what all the fuss is about, and confronts the creepy codger. The old man, voiced by Cab Calloway, sings with Betty, dances with her, and then proceeds to chase her in a life-threatening fashion. Betty’s removable clothing and forest animal friends save the day, and show the old guy who ‘The Man’ really is.

Betty Boop is forever getting into trouble. This time around, the evil queen calls Betty down to the castle, only to have her arrested and executed. What is a girl to do? Luckily, the guards get thrown down a deep hole by a cranky tree stump, and Betty gets freed by a tree. Betty gets encased in an ice coffin, which is then transported by some dwarfs to a secret cave. The queen comes to see how things are going when she discovers the escape, and sets to snuff-out Betty herself. Things literally gets turned inside out in the thrilling climax.

There are revolving doors, locked doors, and stuck doors, but this movie would like you to know about a door it says is always open. Leave your worries, sin and money behind, as you cross the threshold into a different world of the undead, you’ve just gone through the door to heaven!

Better housekeeping = nuclear survival!
With the threat of an atomic attack that could come at any time, some good-hearted folks from the “National Clean up-Paint up-Fix up Bureau” decided to do their part to ensure your post-apocolyptic survival. They filmed homes near an atomic blast site, showing that if only people would just clean up the litter around their homes, and tidied them up inside, you stood a much better chance of survival. Painting the home an appropriately reflective color, such as white, would also help ensure you would get to scavenge for gasoline, food and shelter, and maybe become your own version of ‘Mad Max’.
